Continuing a local legacy spanning two generations of family instructors, Sensei David Lambert is also the only Australian to have ever taught on the world stage in Okinawa, Japan – the birthplace of karate – for the world’s largest Okinawan Karate organisation.
Such is the trust the world body holds for Sensei Lambert, the Japanese world chief instructor has awarded him the responsibility of hosting the Karate World Championships in 2021.
Having taught across the globe, Sensei Lambert and his team of talented male and female black belt assistant instructors teach out of locations in both Goulburn and Crookwell.
Their team consists of fully qualified and internationally recognised senseis, many of whom also have black belt rankings in other martial arts such as taekwondo, aikido, jujitsu and other forms, plus backgrounds in personal training and competitive body-building.
THE GOULBURN DOJO
Located inside the central arcade in Auburn street, it offers a variety of classes to suit all levels from beginners to advanced, and age-specific classes designed for primary school students, for teens, and for adults, along with all-age family classes.
Classes operate at various times throughout the week incorporating early morning, lunch time, evening and weekend classes on a permanent timetable for your convenience.
The dojo is fully heated and also features air-con, matted floor and timber floor training surfaces, as well as every piece of equipment you could ever need to achieve your martial arts, health and fitness needs.
The Lambert Karate Dojo also says it is one of few martial arts locations in Australia that boast a 50:50 male to female ratio within its large membership.
The Goulburn dojo has won the AOGKF National Karate championships three years in a row, and with hundreds of Goulburn locals of all ages now training, there is no better time to take a free trial and enjoy the savings.
With numerous optional training, competition, grading and social events to keep you motivated with your training, it is time to go and meet your karate family today and experience the difference of traditional martial arts. “You will be surprised by what you find and you will love the benefits.”
