It may be close to a year since Allens Training took out two awards at the annual Goulburn Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards, but it is clear the team is still reaping the rewards.

Winners of the Excellence in Business and Employer of Choice, they are the only business last year which won gold in two categories.
Quality manager Brooke Stephenson said the biggest benefit to the Allens Training staff following the awards was the comradely which flourished.
“For us, one of the biggest improvement in our team was the bonding and morale,” Ms Stephenson said.
“It’s made them feel a part of the team of success, and they contributed to that.
“We say that we are winners to customers, partners and employees, because that’s what we are, an award winning business.”
She said it was spectacular they were picked as an employer of choice, and credited flexible and happy work environments available to every employee.
According to her, all businesses should be apart of this year’s Chamber Awards.
“It’s promoting Goulburn and all our local, excellent businesses. It’s definitely a worthwhile opportunity,” she said.
The business progressed to the state awards for Employer of Choice but did not win the overall award.
Ms Stephenson said while Allens Training didn’t win the state awards, it was another opportunity for team building and learning.
“We celebrated our success regardless, we’ll definitely be participating this year,” she said.
“All businesses should be on board.”
