Take in an exhibition of printed art
Lino cuts is a print making technique, a variant of woodcut, in which a sheet of linoleum is used for a relief surface. This form of art work can be simple or intricate. Picasso used the technique of lino cut creating bullfighting scenes, mythological images, and abstract portraits. Despite being such a simple technique, astoundingly beautiful and complex artworks can be created by masters of the lino cut.

The monoprint stands alone: it is a form of printmaking where the image can only be made once. Materials used can be ink or paint, the art work can be rolled, pressed or stamped. This type of art was very popular in the 40s & 50s.
You can get a glimpse of the possibilities at the next exhibition being hosted by the Crookwell Tea House and Gallery.
The exhibition is donation upon entry. There will be many fabulous examples of Monoprints and Lino Cuts on exhibition and for sale.

Catch Lady Godiva
This year’s CADS (Crookwell Amateur Dramatic Society) offering of "Lady Godiva" is pure slapstick, tongue in cheek humour, with a good dose of bawdy innuendo and a sprinkle of toe-tapping music, and it’s all in the name of good fun.
Rehearsals are now in full swing and an enthusiastic and experienced cast is well on the way to giving audiences memorable and polished performances highlighting the goings-on in the Castle of Mercia in the year 1012.
The BYO supper show formats have been a popular staple of CADS shows since 1987.
This year the four scheduled BYO supper shows will see serving wenches handing out some medieval peasant fare as an added bonus.
Patrons please note, there will be only one Sunday matinee of theatre seating.
With only five performances scheduled for the last two weekends of this month of June, you do not want to miss your chance to see what these "CADwellians" have to offer.
The Crookwell Memorial Hall, home to CADS, is well heated to guarantee you a comfortable night of merriment to welcome in the winter solstice before hibernation begins!

To be held on June 23-24 at various venues in Gunning, this is a great excuse for a weekend away.
Come alone or with a group. You can work on that project you have been wanting to finish or start something new.
There will be tutors from surrounding areas, who can help you with a wide variety of projects.
The weekend is for beginners and expert quilters alike, and the focus is on completion of a project, good food, fun, laughter and friendships.
