Workspace2580 is bringing an education program called ThinkUKnow Australia for a workshop to Goulburn to assist parents with advice on what their children are seeing, saying and doing online.
It is being held Wednesday June 20, from 10.30am – 12.30pm.
“Technology plays an important role in how young people maintain their friendships and communicate with those closest to them,” a spokesperson from the program said.
“Technology is no different to anything else a young person encounters. They will make mistakes, and we need to be able to support them through this and empower them to make the right choices.”
ThinkUKnow is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police, CBA, Datacom and Microsoft Australia to deliver a crime prevention programs to the community.
Workspace2580 has been working with ThinkUknow to bring this program to Goulburn. The program is designed for parents, focuses on what young people do online, and what to do if something goes wrong.
