The 31-year-old passed way in Sydney’s Prince of Wales Hospital on Friday, police said.
The woman had been riding with an eight-year-old relative on their Rhyanna Road property, some 2.5km from Goulburn, on Sunday, June 10 when they tried to turn around. Police said the bike rolled down a ditch and tipped over on to the woman.
She sustained significant internal and head injuries as a result. The young girl was not injured. Police could not say whether the woman was wearing a helmet.
The family contacted emergency services but also transported the woman in the back of their Hilux towards Goulburn to hasten help.
Police said the family pulled over on Middle Arm Road and were administering CPR when officers met them at 1.40pm. By that time motorists had also pulled over to help.
The woman had gone into cardiac arrest. An ambulance crew arrived and took over resuscitation from police.
A helicopter crew from Canberra was also tasked to the scene. Its medical team, including a doctor, also rendered assistance.
Ambulance conveyed the woman by road to Canberra Hospital where she remained in a critical condition. On Monday, June 11, she was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital. She died there on Friday.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
