On Saturday morning before the shops had opened numerous veteran cars belonging to Goulburn Goulburn car club members lined the street between Bourke and Auburn Street.
Actors and extras dressed in period costume braved the cold as the film crew with huge lights, reflectors and cameras turned the street into a scene from last century.
One of the production challenges was to avoid signs of modern times and to this end some of the street signage had been temporarily removed.
Extra police had been called in to block access to people and vehicles not involved in the filming.
The shoot had been arranged with Goulburn Mulwaree Council well in advance and according to a production representative the council had helped them with selecting suitable locations as well as facilitating the road closures.
He said that Goulburn was a convenient destination to conduct filming shoots and they had always found the council very helpful whenever the were organising a shoot.
