The unemployment rate in Goulburn Mulwaree has seen a decrease following an upwards spike, according to figures released by the Department of Jobs and Small Businesses.

The Small Area Labour Markets report for the March quarter recorded a 6.6 per cent unemployment rate, or 770 people unemployed.
This is a decrease from 835 unemployed in December 2017 and 822 unemployed in September 2017.
Over the past two years, unemployment was at its lowest in March last year (679).
In the local government area, 11,612 people make up the total work force.
According to profile.id figures between 2011 and 2016, sourced from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, there has been a slow increase in full-time employment from 7688 to 7859.
Part-time employment took the biggest leap in this period, increasing by 437 people.
Among those unemployed, residents seeking full-time work jumped by 76 in those five years.
Overall, the labour force rate for people over the age of 15 two years ago (56 percent) was higher than the average regional NSW rate of 54pc.
Health care and social assistance, retail and trade, public administration and safety are the top industries for employment as published in the June 2018 Regional Development Australia Southern Inland NSW Jobs and growth insight report.
Tourism and hospitality generated $151.3m and exports generated $186m in a population of 29,918 people.
“Opportunities abound to do business in and around Goulburn. Where the city was historically a regional centre dependent on a large railway workshop, big wool stores and textile mills, Goulburn now looks to a future in the new economy,” the report read.
Member for Hume Angus Taylor said the Hume corridor was “thriving”, citing a 2.6pc jobless rate.
“You can see new businesses opening, busy streets, more construction,” he said.
