Goulburn Workers Bulldogs held a trivia and games night after their home games on Saturday July 7. The night was intended to unite the players and supporters beyond the usual after match debrief. It was Adam Kyle’s expressed desire when he took over as head coach this year. to mould the players and supporters into a cohesive group, not only on the field or at the games but socially as well. His philosophy was that a group that was socially cohesive performed better than a team that simply turned up to train and play. This extended to getting to know the people who supported the team and to this end he spoke at the start of the year about organising dinners and social events involving both players and supporters. Saturday night’s trivia and games night was one such example with club captain Nic Whatman acting as quiz master. Players finished off a great evening with a Vaseline, cotton wool ball, pick up competition. The Bulldogs next round is at Belconnen Raiders on Sunday, July 22 against West Belconnen Warriors. The Under 18s however, play Gungahlin Bulls at O’Connor Oval on Saturday, July 14 (tomorrow) at 10.50am.
