On October 23 2017, police received information that a 17-year-old female student had been sexually assaulted by a male teacher in Colo Vale on March 31, 2017.
Detectives from the Hume Police District commenced an investigation culminating in the arrest of a 37-year-old man yesterday, July 12.
He was taken to Southern Highlands Police Station where he was charged with two counts of aggravated indecent assault (person in authority), three counts of aggravated indecent assault (person in authority) and sexual intercourse with a child between 16 and 18 under special care.
He was refused bail and will appear in Goulburn Local Court today, July 13.
