Mayor Bob Kirk said National Tree Day is a great opportunity for people to do something positive for the community and the environment.
“In past years we have focused on areas like the Wollondilly River Walkway and other community green spaces. The morning is always an enjoyable one with a little bit of hard work mixed in – it’s a good chance to teach young children a little more about the natural environment around us as well.”
A mobile coffee van will be on site throughout the morning, and a free BBQ will be held for all participants in the Grace Milsom Centre.
Planting will occur behind the trotting track to create a wind barrier to the right of the GraceMilsom Centre.
The event is proudly supported by Goulburn Toyota, who have been a long-term partner of National Tree Day in Goulburn Mulwaree.
