The competition was held at the Hunter Sports Centre in Glendale over five days, from July 12 to 16.
The PCYC Goulburn teams participated on days four and five, taking their Level Two Foundation, Team Novice and Intermediate divisions to compete.
There were more than 1500 competitors and for many of the PCYC squad, it was their first taste of state level competition.
The club's senior gymnastics activity officer, Natalie Wade, was pleased their performance.
“Team gymnastics is a relatively new concept in Australia,” she said.
“It has only been here for three years and is modelled on the [World] Gymnaestrada held in Europe.”
Sunday focused on gymnastics’ youngest competitors, women's artistic gymnastics foundations. The young athletes took part in a series of stations, testing their skills to a sold-out crowd.
“All five PCYC Goulburn competitors did incredibly well improving on their results across all skills,” Wade said.
“The team brought home a massive 14 blue ribbons, the highest achievement in the foundation levels.”
Monday, it was the Team Gym athletes’ turn, with 180 team gym competitors.
“Both PCYC teams took home a silver medal, a huge achievement for their first competition,” Wade said.
“Goulburn took two teams to compete with a total 14 gymnasts.
It was all our Team Gym athletes' first competition and they performed incredibly well.

“It was all our Team Gym athletes’ first competition and they performed incredibly well, despite nerves in front of a large crowd.
“We have over 30 Team Gym participants that have been learning their skills this year.”
