Southern Tablelands Arts (STARTS) is running a 10-week Dancing with Parkinsons Program starting on Tuesday, July 24.
The program is as supported by the Rotary Club of Goulburn Mulwaree.
STARTS executive director Susan Conroy said the program has been modelled on the internationally renowned Dancing with Parkinsons Program.
It is for people who have a range of movement and mood disorders and health conditions, including Parkinsons Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, arthritis and chronic pain.
“The program will also suit people with mood and some cognitive impairment conditions associated with older members of the community,” Ms Conroy said.
Ms Conroy said local dance school teacher Liz Barling will run the program.
The classes start on Tuesday July 24 for a 10-week term.
The classes run from 10am - 12noon at the St Nicholas Church, Kinghorne St Goulburn.
