One aspect of RDA Southern Inland’s role is to facilitate public and private sector decentralisation and part of this means promoting our region’s liveability, appeal, opportunities and competitive advantages. If we want businesses to relocate or invest in our region, we need to promote its strengths and help businesses determine whether our region is the right fit.
There are some inspiring case studies in the report too, including of local Goulburn businesses, Chicago Freight Rail Services, Fife Financial Services and Stockade Brew Co. Some of Goulburn’s growing industries are also highlighted and are probably not the typical industries you’d expect of a country town. With assistance from Goulburn Mulwaree Council, we have showcased the motor sports, rail freight and extractives industries.
