William Shakespeare once said men of few words were the best men. Well, I like to think that's me in a nutshell.

But not when it comes to sport. If the topic is sport, I will talk until the cows come home.
Hello, my name is Burney Wong, and after four years of university and an extensive job search, I have landed my first full-time job as a journalist at the Goulburn Post, and I am ecstatic.
I graduated with a Bachelor degree in communications and sports studies from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst, so I am qualified to report on any genre of news, but I love sport more than Willy Wonka loves his chocolate.
I live and breathe sport to the point where I am physically unable to sleep until I am up-to-date with all the sporting news and results from around the globe.
My top two idols are Anthony Hudson, who commentates the AFL, and Bruce McAvaney, who commentates almost every sport. They have the ability to depict every solitary moment to absolute perfection.
I can remember a lot of their quotes off by heart.
My favourite was from Bruce during the 2012 AFL Grand Final between the Sydney Swans and Hawthorn Hawks. Swans and AFL star Adam Goodes was injured during the match, but managed to score a crucial goal to aid the Swans to victory. These six words will stick with me forever: “Cometh the moment, cometh the champion.”
Last Tuesday was the first time I set foot in Goulburn and the first thing that hit me was the wind. Although I am used to the cold having spent four years in Bathurst, the wind here is second to none.
I have always preferred life in a regional city, despite growing up in Sydney, but what stands out the most is that the sense of community in Goulburn is a lot stronger than in big cities like Sydney.
Also, watching a lot of Home and Away growing up made me wish I could live somewhere like Summer Bay and Goulburn is pretty close to that. Minus the beach.
My favourite thing about being a journalist is hearing what people have to say and being able to share those stories with the community.
I cannot wait to immerse myself in Goulburn and to keep you up-to-date with all the latest news, varying from events and issues impacting the community, to entertainment and, of course, sporting news.
