GP: How long has your business been operating?
GRC: The GRC has been in business for 33 years starting in 1985 as the Goulburn Regional Music Centre.
GP: What is the purpose of your business?
GRC: The Goulburn Regional Conservatorium has established a positive reputation for music educational excellence and cultural service delivery to all community demographics.
GP: What does this nomination mean to you and your business?
GRC: We are all extremely proud of the nominations. It is a reflection of the quality of our staff and their high standard of teaching.
GP: How many staff members do you have and what do they do?
GRC: We have 25 staff members teaching various instruments and speech and drama to students both in school and after-school lessons throughout the region. We also have a broad range of performing ensembles of various types, catering to students of all ages and adults.

GP: What is the secret to your success?
GRC: Our team! Our tutors are passionate about music and education and they bring this to their teaching every day.
GP: What is something not many people would know about your business or you think readers would be interested to know?
GRC: Located in Goulburn central, the GRC has undergone significant service growth over the past seven years and is now the largest educational institution by enrollment in our region. We have over 1200 students and our region runs all the way through to Wagga Wagga in the south; Bathurst in the west and Wollongong in the east.
The Goulburn Regional Conservatorium is a member of the Association of NSW Regional Conservatoriums. This network of 17 arts organisations is partially funded by the NSW Department of Education and we share the key mission to provide quality, consistent and affordable music and arts education in schools and communities across NSW.
We also construct a comprehensive annual performance program of over 130 events. The performance program includes visiting artists, internal GRC concerts and community concerts. We support children through HSC studies and facilitate access to larger arts organisations including the Schools Spectacular, Regional Youth Orchestra and the Gondwana Voices.
