With the recent changes to the All Age Men which saw it split into three divisions for the remainder of the year, the Stags have won their first two matches comfortably and secured second place on the ladder.
They were only denied first place due to the equally astounding start from Marulan White, which saw them score 15 goals in the first two rounds compared to the Stags’ 13.
These results have set up an intriguing pair of matches for this coming weekend. While both Crookwell teams will play off to determine the third and fourth positions on the ladder, the Stags will take on Marulan to decide the top two spots.
The Stags will have their work cut out for them, as Marulan were the dominant side throughout the regular season, and are yet to suffer a single defeat, while the Stags were a close second.
The key for the Stags will be finding a way to stifle Marulan’s rampant offense, who combined to score 113 goals up to this point in the year, which is 20 more than any other team.
The match between the Goulburn Stags and Marulan White will begin at 3:00pm on Saturday August 11 at Cookbundoon Two.
