The Lions Club’s President Bill Starr donates to the Charity every year.
“It’s a tradition of our club,” Mr Starr said.
Goulburn Legacy President Legatee Bill Harding was extremely grateful for the generosity of the Lions Club and said the money would go towards their mission, but more importantly, the ongoing problems at the Legacy Lodge.
“The money will help us continue to organise social functions like luncheons and movie days,” Mr Harding said.
“More importantly, we need to fix the water mains at the Legacy Lodge as the pipes are over 40 years old.”
This donation comes a couple of weeks before the Legacy’s Annual Appeals Week which is the major fundraising time for the charity.
Merchandise being fundraised include badges, pens and Legacy Bears. which will be available for purchase at Goulburn Square, Market Place and other places in Goulburn.
A barbeque will also be held outside Bunnings on September 8 to support the charity.
