Club president Bill Starr, with secretary Rosemary Chapman, Bill and Helen Smith, Robert and Marie Pedlow, Gail Brown and Prue Rickard presented a cheque on July 31 at a Rosemount Road property.
President of Riding for the Disabled in Goulburn, Kerry Guymer, had asked the Lions for help to buy a therapy horse, about 14 hands high with a placid temperament to be patient with children with a disability.
Ms Guymer found just such a horse and called her ‘Dolly’. The children love her.
After the cheque was presented, morning tea and cakes were served, and Ms Guymer gave Mr Starr an appreciation award for the Lions Club.
