Gallery of the 2018 Goulburn Business Excellence Awards

A sold-out seating of more than 180 city commerce and community representatives warmly applauded, even loudly cheered, the finalists and winners of the 2018 Goulburn Business Excellence Awards on Saturday.

The August 11 gala dinner at the Mercure was emceed by Assistant Commissioner Gary Worboys, with help from Goulburn Mulwaree mayor Bob Kirk and Goulburn MP Pru Goward to announce the 11 categories.

Aged care provider Warrigal won in two categories, for Excellence in (large) Business and as Employer of Choice, with its chief executive Mark Sewell on hand to accept the glass trophies and accolades on behalf of his 200-plus local employees.

“What an amazing network of businesses,” Mr Sewell said. “This town is clearly going to thrive, because as much as public policy, council and state government help get things started, it’s businesses that make things happen.”

The Post will profile winners across coming weeks.
