The Stags, who finished fourth in the regular season before the Under 13’s were split into two divisions, ensured that Marulan’s horror run in Division One continued.
Before the split, Marulan Green sat at third, above the Stags. Since the split, they have yet to win a single match and currently sit with three losses from three rounds.
The Stags have maintained their good form from earlier in the year, and now boast two wins from three fixtures.
During the regular season, the Stags were among the most attacking sides in the league. They boasted 71 goals from their first nine matches, better than any other side in the league.
They have struggled to recreate this thunderous rate of scoring in Division One, however their 5-1 win over Crookwell two weeks ago indicates that they are still capable of their early aggressive tactics.
This weekend’s matchup will be slightly tougher for the Stags, as they will come up against the Workers, who are only one spot below them on the ladder.
The match will begin from 9:00am this Saturday at Cookbundoon Two.
