Premier of NSW Gladys Berejiklian and Member for Goulburn Pru Goward have jointly announced the site for construction of a new ambulance station for Goulburn.

The new station will be built on the southern corner of the NSW Health building opposite Bourke St Health Service will replace the 80 plus-year-old complex in Clifford Street.
The announcement was made at the official brick busting at the old Goulburn Base Hospital nurses quarters, signifying the start of demolition work to make way for the new hospital. on Friday afternoon.
NSW Ambulance Deputy Director Clinical Operations Brian White said the staff were looking forward to moving into the new premises once they were constructed, hopefully by late 2019.
“The old station is over 80 years old and we have simply outgrown it.” Mr White said. “We welcome the announcement by the Premier and Ms Goward that the new station’s construction will start soon and staff have had some constructive input into the planning.”
“The new station will have parking for eight vehicles as well as staff and administrative areas and hopefully an education section too.”
The Premier originally announced that the government planned to upgrade the ambulance station during a visit to Goulburn in April 2017.
The new station is being funded as part of the $122 million Rural Ambulance Infrastructure Reconfiguration (RAIR), the largest regional transformation for NSW Ambulance in its history.
