Goulburn Show’s objectives are the development of pastoral, agricultural, horticultural and industrial resources and to do this, we need to support the farmers and producers who support us.
To start, Goulburn Show is pledging $1000. Do you want to help? Then come along to our first fundraiser, a barbecue at the monthly Goulburn Rotary Markets on Saturday September 8, 8.30am-1.30pm in Belmore Park. We’ll serve up egg & bacon/sausage/steakette sandwiches and cold drinks.
NSW Farmers Association has come on board in support and will have information available about Rural Assistance. A lot of farmers are not coming forward for help, so if you know one in need, I would suggest calling David at NSW Farmers on 0428 411 221.
‘Fill a float for a farmer’ will also be at the markets. They have been collecting non-perishable food items, toiletries, cleaning produces, dog food etc. Please bring items you would like to donate. ‘Doing it for our farmers’ will also be there with care packages to distribute to any farming families struggling through this drought.
For our following fundraiser, keep an eye out for us at the Goulburn Lilac City Festival on Saturday September 29 in Belmore Park.
We appreciate community support for our farmers and all money raised will go directly to the farmers who need it.
