Last weekend was the first time the long running Charles Ledger Alpaca Show has been held in Goulburn after a move form its former venue at Moss Vale. The two day show was held in the Peden Pavilion at the Goulburn Showground with the ring located under the skillion.

There were 256 animals exhibited at the show with exhibitors from as far away as South Australia, Victoria and Queensland/North Region Regions. The show was a great success with exhibitors.
There were two different breeds, Suri's which have the long dreadlock fleece and the Huacaya's which have more of a woolley type fleece.
Goulburn businesses got behind this highly regarded agricultural event that attracted many interstate exhibitors despite the widespread affects of the drought.
“We could not run the show successfully without our wonderful sponsors and we would like to thank them for their support,” spokes person for the competition Maureen Bates said. There were five different classes, each having female and male separate awards.
- Junior: 6 - 12 months
- Intermediate: 12 - 18 months
- Adult: 18 - 30 months
- Senior: 30 - 48 months
- Mature: 48 months and over
