A teenager has been taken to Goulburn Base Hospital suffering shock, following an accident near Tarago on Friday night.

Police said the girl and her mother, from Nowra, were travelling towards west on the Bungendore Road, 3km from Tarago at about 7.10pm when the vehicle swerved to miss a wombat. The vehicle, a Mazda Astina van, crashed into the side of the road.
Police Rescue, ambulance and Tarago RFS attended the scene however neither occupant was physically injured.
Police said the teenager suffered shock and was conveyed to Goulburn Base Hospital as a precaution.
