All students from Kindergarten to Year 6 participated in a range of in-class activities to promote and celebrate reading.
“We are organising video messages with students in other countries, popular book trivia, in-class reading related activities,” organiser Melissa McKellar said.
“Some special school guests will be sharing their favourite books with classes too.”
An entry into a raffle was given to students who spent some time reading with a family member in the lead up to the event.
Some of the books read included Wendy by Gus Gordon and Out by Angela May George and Owen Swan.
