The Royal Freemasons Benevolent Institution (RFBI) operates in 21 communities and across all of them they hosted a special event designed specifically to thank over 1600 staff.
From sausage sizzles to pamper parties, teams came together to celebrate the work they do and the difference they make to the lives of older people in our communities.
RFBI Goulburn Masonic Village administration officer Janine Williams said everyone at RFBI is committed to providing the best care and services for residents.
“It makes my day to know that our residents feel important and are cared for. That’s what being part of the RFBI Family is about,” she said.
“The residents are also like my family. I remember coming out to the village on my wedding day just to see the residents. Making them smile makes my day. That’s a memory I will never forget.”
It was also an opportunity to recognise staff who have celebrated a work anniversary.
“We know that we are only as strong as the staff we have working with us, so making sure that we recognise and appreciate them is very important to us,” RFBI CEO Frank Price said.
“We hold regularly morning teas and social get-togethers – dress up days are another favourite across all of our teams.”
