The zone will also extend by 60 metres on Clifford Street and 65 metres on Goldsmith Street.
Member for Goulburn Pru Goward was supportive of the change.
“This is great for student safety in the busiest part of Goulburn,” Ms Goward said.
“I am very pleased to see the extension to the school zone as the existing zone being too close to the current children’s crossing.
“It will provide a greater coverage to the school’s main gate and ensure safer drop-off and pick up practices.”
Due to the rain this week, installation of the new school zones was delayed, but the they will definitely be completed before the school holidays end.
The extended school zone will operate as usual between 8am to 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm on school days.
