Inspector John Sheehan has advised that James Carey returned to his Goulburn home at about 4.30pm on Thursday.
He was safe and well and had simply decided to have “some time away.”
Thursday 2:15PM
Police are still trying to locate a missing Goulburn man.
James Carey, 19, has been missing since Sunday, October 7.
Chief Inspector John Sheehan said he was last seen at his Heath Street home at midday on that day and was reported as missing by family members.
“We’ve done a lot of checks, but he’s not doing any social media,” Inspector Sheehan said. “He did have a bit of money with him.”
Police say Mr Carey is believed to be driving a red 2011 Holden Commodore sedan with the licence plate DFO 56U.
“His phone is turned off at the moment, so we’re pretty much relying on people that have seen his car,” Inspector Sheehan said.
James is 175cm tall, between 75 to 80kg and has brown hair and brown eyes. If you have any information, contact Goulburn Police on 4824 0799 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
