There are only three palliative care children’s hospices in the country, each with eight beds.
Ryan and Karen Fowler's son Rio passed away in January, 2018.
After spending 30 days in intensive care, Rio and his family spent the next 4 weeks at Bear Cottage, a children's hospice, until he passed away.
Ryan and Karen Fowler are hoping to set up more children's hospices around Australia and have set up Rioslegacy, a registered charity.
To raise awareness Ryan Fowler is running from Melbourne to Sydney from October 1.
He will be running into Goulburn on Saturday, October 20. There will be opportunity to meet him and the team in Belmore park from 2pm.
