Traditionally contested by Goulburn and Bowral High Schools, the competition has been held annually since 1928 and this year it will be hosted by Goulburn High School on Friday October 26.
Almost 300 students and staff from Bowral will head to Goulburn in an attempt to reclaim the Cup after a rare draw resulted in both schools finishing as joint winners last year.
Bowral High School had held the Cup for nine years straight from 2000 to 2009 until Goulburn finally wrestled it from their grasp in 2010.
It was the beginning of a four year streak for Goulburn High School, which is an impressive run of wins for the smaller school.
The Smith Cup has evolved over the years to include a few non-sporting activities to provide opportunities for all students to participate in the competition.
One of the highlights has been the addition of Masterchef, where teams go head to head in a bake-off.
Bowral has had the edge in this competition to date, but Goulburn will be looking to change the status quo.
Along with soccer, basketball, touch and hockey, teams also contest frisbee, computing, and softball.
