After 17 years and four months, Wilma Douven and Lino Brunelli are shutting up shop.
Not literally though, as the have sold the business to Lewy’s.
“We really enjoyed the work, but it is time for us to retire now,” Mr Brunelli said.
Ms Douven will miss running the kiosk, but her favourite part about the job is the social aspect.
"I love interacting with the customers,” Ms Douven said.
“I love walking around the hospital and meeting new people as well.”
Throughout her time at the kiosk, she gained many happy memories, but her favourite ones are during the festive season.
“I love Christmas and Easter because I dress up as Santa Claus and the Easter bunny,” she said.
Mr Brunelli will always remember the sausage sizzles at the end of every year as it is party time.
Both do not know what they will get up to in retirement, but they do have travel plans.
“I am not sure what I will get up to, but I do want to go on holidays overseas,” Mr Brunelli said.
“I will definitely go up to the coast to relax as I have a place there.”
Ms Douven and Mr Brunelli will finish on Friday, October 26, but will stay to clean up until the 31st.
Feel free to pop in to the kiosk to say goodbye to the pair.
Lewy’s will take over in early November.
The new owners will sell new coffee, have a new menu and promise to serve their food fast and fresh in a friendly manner.
