The funding is part of the NSW Government’s Quality Learning Environments program, aimed at improving the physical environment of community preschools.
Member for Goulburn Pru Goward said the 10 preschools in the electorate have previously benefited.
“In the last round of Quality Learning Environments, $114,110 was invested to upgrade the learning spaces of 10 preschools,” Ms Goward said.
In the region, Orana Preschool received $7,050, Marulan Preschool was given $12,800, SDN Crookwell Preschool scored $15,000 and Tarago Preschool snared $15,000.
“More than 400 grants across the state have upgraded their physical spaces, including playground renovations, carpet replacements and garden revamps,” Minister for Early Childhood Education Sarah Mitchell said.
“In this round, grants of up to $15,000 can be used for specialised educational programs and practices like improvements to play areas or outdoor environments.”
All community preschools are eligible to apply for the Quality Learning Environments grants.
Further information including application details is available on the Department of Education’s website.
