On Sunday there was a jumping castle, face painting, a mechanical bull, a farmyard baby animal patting pen and live music for racegoers of all ages to enjoy.
The fashions on the field was a kids only affair divided into two categories, one for the littlies and one for the older youngsters and young teens.
The winner of the younger children’s competition was Isabella Gagin, second or first runner-up was Maddy Anable and third or second runner-up was Blake Crowther. In the older age bracket Destiny Quick was the winner, Aeva Dohnt was second and third went to Jacinta Campbell.
This Saturday, November 10, is perhaps the highlight of the Goulburn Spring Racing Carnival social events, the very popular Girls Day Out. Again there will be a live band, fashions on the field including the best millinery and a best dressed gent’s competition.
Gates open at 10am and the first race is at 11.35am.
