The Stags won the toss and batted first at Trinity College, and compiled an imposing total of 249, thanks largely to 110 from Dylan Maddock, and a supporting half century from Corey Withers at the top of the order.
Even more impressively, the Stags scored their runs in under 30 overs. In response, Hibo could only muster a total score of 155 in 32 overs.
The credit for the Stags’ bowling innings went to Jacob Winters (4-19) and Aidan Cox-Bishop (3-37), who were the architects of Hibo’s collapse.
This result gives Stags two wins and one loss from their four matches so far this year, and places them firmly on top of the ladder.
However, the Stags are closely followed by the Goulburn Soldiers Warriors, who due to their bye last weekend, have slipped to second.
Meanwhile, the Railway Bowlo (234) defeated Gordon Goats (8-170) by 64 runs on the weekend, and Hibo Colts (7-258) hammered Hibo Green (73) by 185 runs at Wexted Oval.
This weekend, Hibo Green will play Hibo Gold at Trinity Oval, Workers Stags will take on Railway Bowlo at Carr Confoy 2, and Goulburn Soldiers Warriors will play Hibo Colts at Carr Confoy 3.
