Starting on Wednesday, November 21, the play adapted from the classic children’s story by Clive Staples Lewis will be brought to life.
Directed by Chrisjohn Hancock and with music and songs by Marianne Powles, the adaptation is a show for the whole family.
The play supports Cystic Fibrosis Goulburn, which is a disease that affects the lungs and digestive system.
Four children from the Pevensie family are evacuated from London during the WWII blitz on the city.
They are welcomed into a country home and while exploring the place, Lucy, played by Mae O’Flynn comes across a wardrobe which leads to a whole new world.
The other children are Edmund, played by Joe Stewart-Richardson, Susan, played by Bella Remington and Peter, played by Gabe Zecevic.
There will be pre-show drinks and nibbles commencing at 6.30pm as well as amazing raffle prizes up for grabs.
Director of the play ChrisJohn Hancock said it told an interesting story and he encouraged people to watch it.
“I’ve had a really dedicated cast and as a result, they deserve a good audience,” Mr Hancock said.
“The audience will love the story line and enjoy the songs as well.”
Tickets for the opening night are available by calling Trish on 0438 210 321 or Jean on 0438 060 846.
Tickets for all other performances are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, $15 for Lieder members, students, and concessions, $15 for groups of 10 or more adults and $10 for children under 12.
Tickets can be purchased online, in person at the Goulburn Medical Clinic McKell Place, or at the theatre before each performance.
This is the Lieder Theatre’s final show of the year.
