The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) has issued a severe weather warning for people in the Southern Tablelands on Friday.

They are advising people to prepare for vigorous winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h.
How to prepare:
- Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
- Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
- Keep at least eight metres away from fallen power lines or objects that may be energised, such as fences.
“People in these locations should get ready today and secure or store items that could blow around in strong winds; this includes trampolines and outdoor furniture,” the NSW SES said.
Sheep graziers warned
Sheep graziers are also warned about cold temperatures, showers and strong westerly winds on Thursday.
“There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions,” the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said.
The severe weather is being caused by a low pressure system passing to the south of the state, according to BOM.
“The low is expected to deepen over the southwest Tasman Sea tomorrow, which will result in an intensification of winds over southeastern New South Wales during Friday morning,” BOM said.
Winds are expected to ease by Saturday morning.
