The function was held in the Belmore Room at the Goulburn Soldiers Club on Friday November 30 with about 35 members and guests attending.
Breanna Hickey has always been drawn to the equestrian side of the Goulburn Show, and is training to be a jockey, apprenticed to race horse trainer Allan McRae of Yass.
“My dream, like all jockeys is to ride in and win the Melbourne Cup,” she said. “I see my future as working with horses, but some day completing a degree in secondary teaching.”
Shernoah Evans, whose year as Goulburn Showgirl comes to an end, said the experience was invaluable and she learn so much through the opportunities she was afforded in representing the Goulburn Show Society.
Attendees at the function were treated to a performance of the Goulburn Bridge to Sing Choir under the direction of Clare Jones.
