Swimmers from all over the ACT, Southern NSW, the South Coast and Goulburn are set to compete at the event.
In past years, as many as 150 competitors have traveled from across the state to compete in the development meet. Many of those who choose to compete are young swimmers looking to improve their personal bests to times which will allow them to compete in open carnivals.
The club would also like to make it clear that the Goulburn Aquatic Centre will be closed to the general public on December 9 to accommodate the competition.
Entries to the competition closed on Tuesday December 4, and the warm-ups are expected to begin at 9.30 on Sunday, while the finishing time is unsure but roughly estimated to be around 3.00pm.
The event will also act as the club’s primary fundraiser for the year, and in a statement the club said that it is a “not-for-profit organisation and we rely heavily on support and sponsorship from the community to survive.”
The Goulburn Aquatic Centre is located at 85 Deccan Street.
