Sergeant Rodney Cranston from highway patrol said the 39-year-old accelerated when police tried to stop her, allegedly reaching a top speed of 180km/hr. 

Police deployed road spikes at three stages in the 13-minute pursuit, resulting in the deflation of three tyres on the single cab Toyota Hilux. The first happened just near the south Goulburn exit. The second was at the Goulburn bypass and the third was near the North Goulburn exit.  

As a result, the Edensor Park resident lost control of the vehicle, spun around and careered into the median strip.  

Police approached the vehicle and noticed the driver’s door was locked. Officers claimed she would not open the door. Police forced entry, placing her under arrest. 

The woman was charged with Skye’s Law, driving in a dangerous manner, driving while disqualified for the second time, exceeding the speed limit by over 45km/hr, driving with an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, using plates calculated to deceive and three possessed drug matters.

She faced Goulburn Local Court on Tuesday, December 11.
