Despite good rains filling dams around the district adequate stock feed is still an issue for farmers who have been hand feeding sheep, cattle and other livestock for many months.

The rain has brought some pasture growth but not enough for farmers to cease feeding. Those who have fodder crops planted will be hoping that it will grow well enough to bale and provide a supply of feed for next winter and beyond.
Goulburn Mulwaree Support held a fundraising event in Belmore Park for the local buy a bale drought relief effort. It was also a bushfire awareness day and involved several of the districts brigades.
The raffles were kept going for some time after the event on October 6. With expences deducted the final tally for the brigade’s effort was $3751,75. On Friday afternoon Goulburn Mulwaree mayor Bob Kirk met with brigade representatives to receive the cheque.
