This day will be run on Wednesday January 16. There is very good prize money for the four winning teams and is hoped this will be as popular as the day that we ran last month. All registered bowlers are invited.

Club news
We are looking at a lot of changes in the format of Wednesday, Friday and Saturday bowls. These changes it is hoped will be finalised shortly and there will be some changes to times and formats of matches.
Championships
Joe Cooke – Major Singles
Nominations are now being received for this prestigious event. They will close on January 23 and the first round is to be played on or before February 2. Nomination forms are on the board in the men’s locker room.
Minor Singles Champ
This Championship will be held over January and February. The nomination form was on the notice board in the men’s locker room, but nominations have now closed. Round 1 is to be played on or before January 19. Check the notice board for all other dates.
Mixed Pairs Champ
The final will now be played between Robert and Lorraine McNeil who will meet Hayden Ward and Mary Leslie.
This game will be played this Saturday at 1pm. This should be a great match.

Wed Jan 2: Men’s Triples
The sponsors for the day were Goulburn Masonic Village. I am afraid the hot weather came with a vengeance and kept our numbers down. 24 bowlers took to the green and the winners were Warren Guyer, John Piggott and Wayne Croker who annihilated Reg Thoms, Greg White and Ron Granger 35 to 11. The runners up were John Withers, Chris McCullen and Leon Robar who defeated Mat Dubios, Norm Lang and Ray Riches 26 to 11. In other matches Phil Greenhalgh, Bill Murphy and Kevin Rudd defeated Ken Fowler, Rod Palin and David O’Brien 20 to 17. Joe Price, Brian Cox and Danny Jackson defeated Martin Cutler, Greg Rice and Wayne Whatmore 28 to 20.
Fri Jan 4: Men’s Single Entry Pairs
Sponsors: Concrete for Goulburn. Numbers were again low owing to the hot weather but in a shortened match the winners were John Withers and Greg White who defeated Martin Cutler and Rod Palin 23 to 11.
Sat Jan 5: Mixed Triples
12 hardy souls took to the green waiting for the promised cool change and played two sets of 9 ends with a break between. The winners of the day were Peter Swift, Craig Whittle and Norm Lang who defeated Russell Thompson, Wayne Croker and Maxeene Thompson One and half sets to a half. In the other match played Reg Thoms, Greg Rice and Debra Scott had a draw with Russell Sheely, Christine Croker Kerry Sheely one set each.
