The event commemorates Gordon Hope, who was a former president of the Goulburn Golf Club and who served on the board for many years, according to a 2017 newsletter from the club.
The medley is held every year to remember Hope and raise funds for melanoma research.
This year, there will be a barbecue on at Hopey’s Rest behind the 14th green which will run all day and will donate all proceeds to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
The event has in the past seen more than 100 players take to the course, and the club will be hoping to match those numbers once again in the 2019 edition.
Now in its eighth year, the medley will kick off at 9.00am, and the club asks that all players intending to compete are present and ready to go from 8.45am.
The entry fee is $20 for members of the Goulburn Golf Club and $25 for non-members. Payment is to be made on the day, and entries can be made by calling the Goulburn Golf Club Pro Shop on (02) 4821 2454.
The club also said that non-AGU handicap players are welcome and will have a handicap allocated to them on the day.
