It was a few weeks before Christmas when Endeavour was told that its old Holden Captiva - used to transport supported employees – would cost thousands of dollars to be registered within two weeks.
Management decided it would be totally impractical to spend money on major repairs to make the existing vehicle suitable for disabled transport.
They had been working hard over the previous six months to fix ageing infrastructure while keeping a watchful eye on the enterprise’s finances.
Under time pressure to find a solution, Endeavour spoke with its Goulburn supporters and eventually Craig Young, of of CMY Motors, delivered an ideal replacement.
When the van was delivered, one of the supported employees was almost crying, said staff member Mischelle Lees.
“He was shocked by how beautiful it was. He was just amazed,” she said.
