Goulburn
- Victoria Park from 8.30am to 2pm
A free community barbecue breakfast, followed by stalls and celebrations from 9am. An official ceremony at 10am will be led by the day’s ambassador Deputy Police Commissioner Gary Worboys, and will include the 2019 Local Citizens of the Year Awards and a Citizenship Ceremony. Music, rides, activities and mini zoo that everyone can enjoy. Dress as an Aussie icon for a chance to win a prize!
Marulan
- Soccer fields, Portland Avenue from 3pm to 9pm
A parade along Goulburn Street will begin Marulan’s Australia Day celebrations. Endless amounts of entertainment, including sheep shearing, mechanical bull rides, working dog trials and a mini zoo, lots of food and live music from Mulwaree High School students and Corbey Lee Hunt. A fireworks display will conclude the evening.
Crookwell
- Memorial Park, Robertson Street from 8am to noon
Enjoy a barbecue breakfast and morning tea, prepared by local community members, listen to live music, play games and see the Citizen of the Year Awards presentation. Get down to Crookwell Memorial Park for morning of family entertainment.
Bigga
- Golf Club, Tuena Street from noon until late
Dust off your clippers and get shearing at Bigga’s annual Speed Shear. A barbecue will be running all day with a live music performance after the event and the bar is open for anyone looking to celebrate into the evening.
Gunning
- Barbour Park, Yass Street from 8am to 9.45am
Enjoy a barbecue breakfast and the local Australia Day Awards presentation.
Taralga
- Taralga Showgrounds, Bannaby Road from noon to 1pm
The Australia Day celebrations are part of the Taralga Rodeo and include the local Australia Day Awards.
Yass
- Coronation Park, Comur Street from 7.30am to 10am
Sit in the gorgeous Coronation Park and enjoy a barbecue breakfast put on by Rotary. The Citizenship Ceremony and Australia Day awards will follow. Bring along a picnic blanket and chair to celebrate Australia Day surrounded by the Yass community. For the kids, face painting, a jumping castle and the park's playground.
Canberra
- Regatta Point and Patrick White Lawns (next to the National Library of Australia) from 4pm
Music, food and fireworks are the feature of Australia Day 2019 at Regatta Point and Patrick White Lawns on Saturday January 26. From 4pm, Patrick White Lawns will host sporting and interactive fun for the family. At Regatta Point, the Rogue Traders with Natalie Bassingthwaighte will headline an afternoon of music, including lots of local artists. Pack a picnic or tantalise your taste buds at the food trucks at both locations, and finish off the night with a show-stopping fireworks display over the lake and Commonwealth Avenue bridge at 9pm.
Queanbeyan
- Queanbeyan Park, Lowe Street from 4pm to 9.30pm
Citizenship ceremonies, Australia Day awards, music, prizes and entertainment. Enjoy a barbecue, merry-go-round, jumping castle, face painting, temporary tattoos, and fireworks show.
Braidwood
- Braidwood Serviceman’s Club, Coronation Avenue from noon until 2pm
Australia Day awards, free barbecue lunch and live entertainment from Wombat Bill.
Bungendore
- Mick Sherd Oval, Gibraltar Street from 10am to 2pm
Enjoy sheep dog demonstrations, market stalls, food stalls and live music on the lush Mick Sherd Oval with friends and family.
Captains Flat
- Colin Winchester Oval, Foxlow Street from 11am to 2pm
