Crookwell has often produced performances which showed their strong potential, however it had never quite come together until last weekend.
Having won the toss and elected to bat first the Lin Cooper Rec Arena, the match looked to be progressing the way that many would have expected as Crookwell slumped to a small total of 106 all out.
Gold skipper Brad Smith was the pick of the first innings bowlers with his haul of 4-26.
In the second innings, James Armstrong and Tom Pender opened for Hibo Gold, and for once were unable to provide their side with a solid foundation as Pender fell for a duck.
Armstrong fell with the score at eight, and from there it was a steady slide for Hibo.
Smith was once again the pick of the batters, and posted the highest score of the match with 23, but was unable to prevent the rest of the batting order rotting around him as all of the Crookwell bowlers contributed.
With Gold dismissed for 75, Crookwell claimed its first win of the season in spectacular fashion.
