Crookwell Rotary Club Car Boot Sale offers the perfect opportunity to shift some unwanted items and raise a few dollars while you’re at it. On the other hand, it’s also a great chance for bargain hunters to track down some special finds and test out their haggling skills. You never know what treasures you might find at this popular community fundraising event, which is being held at Coleman Park, Crookwell, on Saturday, March 9, from 8am to 2pm. Costs: vendors: car boot $5, trailers $10, general entry by gold coin donation. All profits go to Rotary charities and local community projects. Collector Community Markets fire up for Election Day
On NSW State Election Day (Saturday, March 23) the ever popular Collector Community Markets liven up the proceedings at the Collector Village Hall, from 9am to 1pm, offering a whole range of delicious local produce, arts, crafts and gifts. The organisers are also firing up the barbie for the traditional Australian polling day sausage sizzle, so you can savour a sensational snag or several, while bagging some bargains and exercising your democratic rights. If cars are your passion you won’t want to miss out on the Laggan Pub Car Show on Saturday, March 23. This annual automotive event, run by the Crookwell Car Club in conjunction with the Laggan Hotel, (3 Peelwood Road, Laggan), features a range of classic cars, including Australian, American, European and Japanese. Ford, Holden, Best pre 1950 Hot Rod and MOPAR categories always generate a lot interest. But it’s not just about the “Revheads” and their beloved cars. This family-friendly event includes fun kid’s activities including the jumping castle, live music, scrumptious food and of course the bar serves a selection of refreshing ice cold beverages. A wonderful day out in Laggan with something for everyone.
