Police said the 77-year-old was travelling south along Gibson Street toward Kinghorne Street when she lost control of her Toyota Corolla at about 3.45pm.
The car mounted a grass nature strip beside a home before hitting a large fence bollard and rolling onto its roof on Kinghorne Street.
The woman was freed by Police Rescue and treated at the scene by ambulance before being conveyed to hospital.
NSW Fire and Rescue and police also attended the scene. The street was temporarily closed in that block and police diverted traffic along Argyle Street.
The accident's cause is unknown at this stage. However police believed the woman could have had a medical episode.
