Green took on Gold in the last round of the regular season, and it was the former who eventually prevailed in a high-scoring affair.
Green's form has been on the rise for some time, as it showed at the start of 2019 with a win in the T20 tournament, and Gold has contrastingly struggled to match its early season performances.
Having won the toss and choosing to bat first on Saturday, Green put forward a total of 5-227, largely thanks to Luke Hayward's 71, with supporting scores of 20 and 30 from most of the other batters.
In response, Gold came within 45 runs but were unable to find an answer to Green captain Dane Stevenson's tricky offspinners, which claimed 3-29 from his nine overs.
While Green still finished in third place, below Gold and the Workers Stags on the ladder, it will make finals an interesting prospect as Green have finished on a high note.
Meanwhile, in the second First Grade fixture, Crookwell defeated the Workers Stags to claim its second victory in a row, and its second victory of the season.
This weekend, on March 2, the semi-finals will take place. Exact details of the fixtures are yet to be announced.
