The event features a variety of entertaining performers, fun rides, several prestigious animal shows and events, as well as many creative displays and competitions.
Importantly, in addition to enjoying all the aspects of the event as an onlooker, there are also many things you can actually participate in.
“We have some fantastic new and old competitions this year in the schedules that you all need to check out and enter,” says Jacki Waugh, president of the Goulburn AP&H Society, which organises the event.
As an example, you can bring your dog along to have go in one of the jumping competitions.
There’s a fun scarecrow competition where everyone from individuals, to community groups, pre-schools, schools, nursing homes or clubs are encouraged to construct the best entry they can.
There’s a novelty teapot class in the flower schedule you can enter, and by doing so you’ll be helping the Goulburn Teapot Club raise funds for supporting children within the Autism Spectrum in the Goulburn region.
There are also plenty of experiences to enjoy, from having your photo taken with the EL Jay Freestyle Entertainment team when they're not doing stunt shows, to learning lots at the reptile and animal show run by Get Wild Animal Experiences.
