Goulburn Mulwaree Library has invited one and all to come along for a fun-filled day that will revel in all things geek.
In its third year and expected to be bigger than ever, Goulburn Comic Con will feature more than 60 market stalls that will sell an array of items, from comics, artworks and collectibles to jewellery and costumes.
The day will be filled with a variety of live performances, demonstrations and workshops.
Events and activities include a draw-off, geeky choir performances, writing and illustration workshops, light saber training, stunt shows, the opportunity to experiment with a green screen, get yourself 3D printed, and - to top it all off - an apocalyptic medieval battle.
The highlight of the event will be the cosplay competition with everyone encouraged to dress up as their favourite characters.
A new gaming hall will also be in action, with tabletop gaming demos and competitions throughout the day.
The games will include Armoured Digital Miniatures, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, and Warhammer 40,000.
Aussie Night Markets will provide an array of food to keep everyone fueled and ready to take on the day.
Goulburn Comic Con, which drew a crowd of over 4000 people last year, has grown from humble beginnings at the Library.
Young people's service coordinator, Michelle Stuart, says she is thrilled with the success of the event.
"It's great to bring this event to the community and amazing to be involved," Ms Stuart said. "Comic Con is a fantastic way to get children connected to literature.
"It's an opportunity for the Goulburn public to meet people from the wider community."
